2016 ist ein besonderes Jahr für Blizzard, das Unternehmen wurde in diesem Jahr 25 Jahre alt. Gegründet wurde Blizzard am 8. Februar 1991, damals noch unter dem Namen Silicon & Synapse und später Chaos Studios.

Solch ein Jubiläum feiert man gerne groß, deswegen haben die Verantwortlichen bei Blizzard etwas ganz Besonderes herstellen lassen. Eine knapp 1,8 Tonnen schwere Statue vom Lich König Arthas Menethil, welche Ihren Platz am Calligraphy Greenway, Taichung (Taiwan), gefunden hat.
Die schwere Bronze-Statue ist ein echtes Meisterwerk und im folgenden Video könnt Ihr Euch selber ein Bild davon machen wie aufwendig es war diese herzustellen.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of Blizzard Entertainment; and what better way to celebrate this epic milestone, than by casting one of the company’s most iconic characters in a 14 foot, 4,000 pound, truly one-of-a-kind statue. Located on the Calligraphy Greenway in Taichung, Taiwan, this bronze portrayal of the Lich King Arthas Menethil wasn’t created just to commemorate an anniversary, but also to recognize and celebrate the incredible Taiwanese gaming community.
